George was a member of the United Steelworkers Association Local 5668 and was retired from Kaiser Aluminum Chemical Corporation, Ravenswood Works. George was very civic minded., he served as a President of West Virginia State Grange, Mountaineer Pomona Grange, Silverton Grange and Ohio Valley Grange. He enjoyed 42 years of weaving and enjoyed teaching children to weave.
